Max Verstappen voted Driver of the Day

Max Verstappen has been voted ‘Driver of the Day’ for the third time this season. Fans worldwide casted their votes during the Russian Grand Prix. The Dutchman ultimately amassed the majority of them. After his win in Austria and the great second place finish in Singapore, Verstappen was also voted Driver of the Day. Today, birthday boy Max, finished fifth fastest in an excellent catch up-race after having started all the way from the back of the grid.

In the first few laps already Verstappen was cutting his way through the pack in his RB14 like a hot knife through butter. In a lightning tempo he moved up from P19 to P5. When Mercedes and Ferrari did their stop, Max took control of matters and took the lead. Only because of his own pit stop the Dutchman ended up behind the foursome again and took the chequered flag fifth fastest.
