Max unharmed after massive impact in Silverstone: 'I am glad I am ok'

Max Verstappen is unharmed after his severe crash at the British Grand Prix. The Dutchman collided with Lewis Hamilton on the first lap and was sent flying hard into the tyre wall at Copse Corner. As a precaution, Verstappen was taken to the hospital for a series of medical checkups but has luckily remained unharmed from the massive impact.

"First of all I am glad I am ok", says Max from the hospital. "It was quite an impact at 51G, but I am feeling better. Obviously very disappointed with being taken out like this. The penalty given does not help us in any way and doesn't do justice to the dangerous move Lewis made on track."

"Watching the celebrations after the race, while I was still in the hospital is disrespectful and unsportsmanlike behaviour, but we move on."
